In 2021 I got to rebrand Fort Collins’ annual Bike to Work Day celebration, which was obviously a dream come true. Along with this poster, we made signs for all of the breakfast stations, stickers for folks to wear to show that they biked, and other various promotional materials. I also got to wander around all morning with a camera taking photos for the city, and having an all-around great time.

Pooch Plunge is an annual event held by the City of Fort Collins where the large city water park is filled with tennis balls and taken over by dogs for a day. Along with this poster, I made custom tickets for entry, a handout with sponsor information, and various social media assets.

For the 2020 Earth Day Festival, I wanted to create a throwback look to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the holiday. An entire suite of marketing and promotional materials accompanied this poster design.

This poster won an Honorable Mention at the UCDA Design Awards in 2019. Working on this hand-lettering was an absolute blast, fueled by some all-local Colorado cuisine as well as a lot of Neil Young. I made a whole suite of marketing materials to go along with this poster.

When my buddy Jeff told me about his idea for a new group bike ride, I was immediately on board to make some graphics. It didn’t even matter that we had no budget and I wouldn’t get paid. We started with a t-shirt design that had to be one-color, and it naturally morphed into this poster as well.

Movie Saga Night was a popular event for CSU students, wherein they had to choose between a Harry Potter-themed party in one dining center or Star Wars in another. Luckily, I got to mash both concepts together into one poster.

Cache La Posters was an idea I developed with my friend Cameron in the Northern Colorado Designers Guild. We invited artists to submit posters for a First Friday show benefitting our beloved local river, the Cache La Poudre. An in-town screenprinting shop offered to produce and sell the posters as well as host the show. I created this poster along with a suite of promotional social media graphics.

Bike Prom is an annual fundraising event for Bike Fort Collins, our local bicycle advocacy non-profit. In 2018, I created a Lost In Space theme, featuring this poster and various other promotional materials.

Creating the promotional materials for the 2022 MLK Day celebration in Fort Collins was another incredible project to work on. The event featured a march from downtown to campus for the keynote presentation, so I created a tagline and visuals focused on that concept.

The Dirty Kanza gravel bike race has since been renamed to Unbound Gravel, but the concept for this poster that I made for a bike shop in Lincoln, NE still holds true. There’s no sound like the crunch of those tiny rocks under your tires.

Not only was making lettering out of actual salsa really fun to do, it was also probably the best-smelling design process I’ve ever been through.

I don't always get to write taglines for my designs, but when I do, you can bet they're punny.

Another example of copywriting I got to do was in the marketing for the 2022 Latinx Activism Week at CSU. The words “Up to Us” are taken from a quote from Cesar Chavez, who’s birthday is the basis for this annual celebration on campus.
